Johnson returns after long injury period

Nick Johnson, who hasn’t played in a baseball game since breaking his leg in September 2006, started at base 1 in the Nationals’ spring opener against Florida on Wednesday night. Johnson will compete against Dmitri Young for the Nats’ first-base job.
